What is a paint sealant?

A paint sealant is designed to extend the life of the vehicle’s paintwork by protecting it from the various pollutants such as bird droppings, tree sap, road grime and traffic film to name a few. Over time , these pollutants bond to the vehicle’s paintwork surface resulting in common paintwork problems such as unsightly marks, oxidisation and `flattening’ of the paintworks appearance. The sealant within the Autoglym Lifeshine system acts like an invisible and permanent barrier to the paintwork and helps make the paint more resistant to such long-term damage.

Is it suitable for all vehicles and/or paintwork types?

Yes. Autoglym Lifeshine can be applied to new as well as older cars. If your car is older than 5 years and you wish to have it protected with the Autoglym Lifeshine you can. However, Autoglym will only validate warranties for cars under 5 years old.

Why should I have the Lifeshine treatment done from you and not at my dealership?

If you are in the process of buying a new car, chances are that the dealership has offered you to have the Lifeshine system applied pre-delivery for about £350 (for a small car). Not a bad idea. Until you consider the following: Most Dealerships are AUTHORISED to retail Autoglym Lifeshine. This does NOT always mean their valeters are qualified to apply it.

Clb have undergone intensive training with Autoglym and are QUALIFIED to apply this product (certification can be provided). In many cases dealerships use contract valeters that change constantly. In most cases even a new car can have impurities and swirl marks in most cases these are not something that dealership valeters can rectify. If these defects are not rectified before the Lifeshine is applied then the defects are sealed in. Clb are more than capable of removing the defects and restoring the depth of shine. If this is not done correctly then any defects will be sealed into the paintwork.

What exactly do I get for my money?

A preparation valet which is carried out before the Lifeshine treatment can begin. This is to ensure that all vehicle surfaces (exterior and interior) are free from contaminants and any defects.

What does the warranty cover?

Any degradation of the areas that have been originally treated with Autoglym Lifeshine are covered under the warranty program. Eg., If upholstery staining occurs due to a drink spillage, then Autoglym will undertake to clean and retreat the area free of charge*.

Where can I find help to specific problems under the warranty ?

Autoglym operate a dedicated Lifeshine/customer support number details of which are included in the registration certificate which you will receive once the Lifeshine treatment is complete.
